Knowing what you believe and why you believe it, is essential to existence. Without a strong belief system, humanity is subject to fall into a state of feudalism. Throughout the history of time, oligarchs across the world have colluded in methods to persuade the majority to reduce their belief structure down the individual ruler themselves. In Communist countries, atheism (a lack of belief in a higher power), is enforced, and resistance is met with re-education. This occurs through social classism, imprisonment, reform through labor, segregation, and other forms of individual torture. In all instances the principles are the same: remove the aspect of personal belief from society.
