The Historicity of Jesus in Contemporary Culture
The historicity of Jesus Christ has proven to be a subjective and unverifiable conglomeration of misinformation that dilutes our ability to discern accurate Biblical truth. In modern times, one of the most radical positions that the media has taken is to culturally appropriate Christianity as a viable alternative to religious discrimination against behavior. Instead, the contorted image portrayed of Jesus today through secular influence has resulted in the deprivation of morality, separating non-believers from ever having a chance at practical consideration that there indeed lies an uncaused superior and intelligent force to which our universe originated.
The Holy Spirit warned us against false teachers who revise the Christian doctrine into their own image, who bring destructive heresies, that deny the authority and sovereignty of God (2 Peter 2:1). The Holy Spirit guides us through the Apostle Matthew, warning that even Pastors are susceptible to this condition, living for their own prosperity over total submission to the cross and contributing true principles of Christianity to God’s Kingdom (Mat. 7:15).
Christian Supernaturalism
Skeptics have no place in society to refute the object of Christianity, as such, they hold no position to redefine the authority of God. Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, where he died on the cross for our sins. To oppose this position is to defy the entirety of God Himself. The Holy Spirit spoke through the Apostle Paul in Galatians 4:8-11 (NLT), stating, “[b]efore you Gentiles knew God, you were slaves to so-called gods that do not even exist. So now that you know God (or should I say, now that God knows you), why do you want to go back again and become slaves once more to the weak and useless spiritual principles of this world?...I fear for you. Perhaps all my hard work with you was for nothing.” We cannot let the Biblical principle of Jesus Christ’s death be meaningless. If Jesus was not Supernatural, nor the son of God, then the entire Christian doctrine is worthless and meaningless. This is exactly the perspective the enemy wants us to subject ourselves to consider. Placing limitations on the creator of the universe is a satanic practice that fuels the distortions of the Divinity of Jesus Christ, the son of God.
This is the opposite position that Christians should take when “Biblical scholars” claim they have redefined the image of Jesus to fit the cultural narrative of public accommodation. It remains evident that Jesus was Divine, and lived free of sin. This negates the possibility of Jesus having a wife, rendering the entire article, as merely a hit piece on Christianity, sprung from the very source which claims to portray His image. There are indeed wolves among us.
Discipleship
We are Jesus Christ’s modern disciples, tasked with facing persecution to stand and combat the secular influence which seeks to divert society’s image of God (Mat. 10:16). The Lord reminds us that not all are His apostles, commanding Christians to act in His image, and God will grant us access to the most helpful gifts through His grace (1 Cor. 12:29-31). The Holy Spirit instructs us to rescue others whose faith may waiver (Jud. 1:22,23), and reinvigorate the reflection of Jesus Christ from within, to guide others along back to God’s path (Exo 15:13). This redeeming quality of Jesus Christ can only happen through Supernatural spiritual revolution.
To consciously engage in communication with the Holy Spirit, Supernaturalism must be present. Through an internal relationship with the Holy Ghost, He can direct us axiologically. But, to form a direct and personal relationship with God, requires a Supernatural presence. To assume that Jesus succumbed to mortal temptations voids the entire objective moral principles to the Christian faith, which requires us to believe in something greater. His perfection gives promise that we can aspire to progress beyond our self-proclaimed inadequacies and follow the path of the Lord. Is this not the intention of God?
Conclusion
By preserving the image of Jesus Christ, we can remind the world of His power by invoking the influence of His teachings. An opposition against the identity of Jesus and the word of God is an attack on the Christian faith. This must be met with total compliance with the doctrine from which we defend. To handle in the same manner of Jesus Christ is to reveal His revival through the Holy Spirit, which becomes evident in the grace which God provides. Today, many self-proclaimed Christians are quick to reinvent Jesus to suit their own agenda. As we are reminded, God has known us longer than anybody else, (Jer. 1:5), and it is expected that we do our part to reciprocate communication and build a covenant with Him. This includes the identity of Jesus Christ, and the concept of Supernaturalism. For what is Christianity without resurrection, miracles, and Divine origin?
