Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Suspends Campaign From the 2024 Presidential Election
On August 23rd, 2024 in a monumental decision, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., officially suspended his campaign for Presidency; instead endorsing Donald Trump. To his critics, Kennedy’s decision to withdraw from the Presidential Election of 2024 appears a detriment; but to proponents of his decision, Kennedy has now aligned himself with the winning party—ensuring his participation and oversight in government affairs.
But Kennedy will leave his name on the majority of the ballots he has already worked to attain. This will offer constituents in blue states another option beyond Kamala; whilst swing states will likely also benefit from his endorsement. Rather than work to reinvent the entire U.S. political system, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. can focus his efforts on reforming and reinvigorating the bureaucracy.
In the New Testament, Jesus’s brother James notes, God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’ Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you, (James 4:6b-8; ESV). Kennedy’s decision represents the humility America needs in a candidate; and he will now be better positioned for future campaigns. Kennedy chose to take the path of righteousness and not slander his political enemies, rather he reached out promptly once realizing his needs may be better suited for the bureaucracy. As James expounds, “[b]rothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?” (James 4:11-12; NIV).
Now it is up to Trump to appoint Kennedy into his Cabinet; giving him oversight over regulatory agencies, namely the Department of Health (DOH). With Kennedy working alongside the Trump Administration, America will be brought out of its current state of persistent crises, and into the contemporary age. Thus, leaving behind the tyranny of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic; and (1) precluding future autocratic action from occurring; while controlling (2) what is considered a "public health emergency," and (3) enumerating the government's jurisdiction in response to such an occurrence.
Conclusion
Kennedy’s decision was responsible and correct. Now, he is positioned to offer his skills to the public, and receive favorable publicity as a result. His actions will serve as a testament to his ability to achieve the designated outcome objective expected by his stakeholders—the constituency. Yet, the war wages on between the Leviathan and a populist candidate.
Now, Kennedy can prepare himself to enter into the public light not as a sole authoritative figure responsible for realigning the entire nation against the bureaucracy, but Kennedy can replace maleficent forces within the bureaucracy. Then, Kennedy will have an easier time bringing this nation to its next phase—during the Presidential Election of 2028.
