Objective Foundations in Times of Chaos
In times of chaos, we must strive to secure our objective foundation in the eternal truths that have proven effective throughout the course of history. By many accounts, these include the love and appreciation of those around us. Despite the government’s facilitation of division, subdivision, and attempted conquer; we the people continue to prevail. The federal government continues to weaken the barrier that exists between themselves and our principled Founding documents; in order to attain control of the decisions, actions, and thoughts of the individual. By seeking refuge in a higher power, apart from government; every person is able to exalt these personal objective truths to stand above those imposed from a top-down command; dictated by big government. By documenting the empirical data and enumerated information that unfolds within the present, we as citizens can gain perspective into the consequences of past neglect; and forge prospective paths for our future.
What is declared a scientific phenomenon when applied to political theory, reinforces the presupposition that there exists a greater force above government, continuing to renew and revise the detriments incurred throughout polity. Despite the inane inaction of American politicians, both our liberty and nation still stand. The foundation for what matters remains, no matter the storms we face. It is in these times of chaos, we must realign ourselves with what exactly it is that we stand for; beyond external temporal attributes, our actions, thoughts, and contributions perpetuate both the morality and continuation of mankind for posterity.
We must remember that our actions are remembered, not our identities; this includes those opposed, making the conscious decision to withhold action. It does not support coercing the actions of another through duress. As individuals, we have a limited amount of time on this earth; we are not permitted to live longer than we are willed. It is illogical to assume there is no life beyond what lies before us; or that our actions hold no impact over the lives of the citizens of the future. The resounding answer must be a higher force that exists above government; there must be life beyond the current state that resides; and both must be interconnected and influenced by entities beyond those that exist within the physical realm.
While the government likely desires us to remain in conflict over the differences that exist in various cultures, and the origins of a particular specificity within a curated context; the eternal truth that resides after the temporary experience of culture has dissolved, and that is we are all one race, sharing one blood (Gen 1:27; Acts: 17:26). If one needs a blood transfusion, culture and race is not a factor determined in the process of selecting a suitable blood type. There exists no reason that we should be divided as a society, beyond that of the desire to divide and conquer. By keeping us segregated as a society; living in consistent fear; and rewarding those who slander their neighbor or brethren over a difference in political ideology, are themselves subject to public critique; this perpetuates the divide. This does not support the approval of allowing truly evil ideology to influence government; but presupposes its attendance in all aspects of polis. It is our duty to display the image we wish to supplant; and avoid, not destroy evil. The eradication of all evil would require the executor to themselves become a construct of the evil they wished to initially avoid.
Romans 13:1 decrees obedience to government; yet it goes on to denote government is an instrument of God. Those who stand opposed to His authority, are not considered in this decree. We are not to be subject to tyrannical government and are not confined to abide by their command. Should a law violate a guaranteed enumerated right it must be stripped away; should a policy violate an interpreted right, it must be discussed and impartially decided. This inherent obligation is evident in 1 Corinthians; “[b]e on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love,” 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (NIV).
We must peacefully dissent against government policy by adhering to one that stands above the transitory morality imposed over society by big government and their major pharmaceutical counterpart. The authority of government exists to the extent that it commands the engagement in actions that would otherwise be morally opposed; in this case, its authority should be deposed. This does not constitute forcing this methodology upon others, nor condemning them for their actions. Rather, it encourages the individual to hold themselves to a higher standard that commands ubiquitous love, even to those whom we find politically predisposed. Jesus declared as scribed by John “[w]alk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. 36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light,” (John 12:35-36; ESV).
Politics is the strategy within the government of our nation, and the effect on its citizens; not the regulation of the basis of truth. As individuals who hold ourselves to the highest standard, we can maintain a population united, bearing the power to reconfigure public policy in ways that benefit society. Collective power under the ordinance of God facilitates individual regulation allowing for dissent from tyranny; referendum; and majoritarian populist appeal over the issues that preside within our nation. These issues include unauthorized global warfare, foreign collusion, and the intrusion of international affairs outside of threats to our national security. Instead, candidates and incumbent pol should fall subject to strict public scrutiny; those violating any laws above civil matters should be immediately subject to removal from office and historically deposed. By standing united, the people can act as the body of judgment that keeps politicians in line, rather than being coerced through the influence of media to view government as an inversion of its function. This is achieved by the individual decision to contribute to the betterment of man through self-regulation, personal faith, and consistent strength.
