Mike Johnson Elected as 56th Speaker of the House
On October 25th, 2023, Louisiana Representative Mike Johnson was elected as the 56th Speaker of the House in a 220-209 vote. Speaker pro tempore Patrick McHenry read the verdict of the Congressional vote, declaring there had been 429 total votes placed; of which the honorable Mike Johnson received 220 votes, winning against the honorable Hakeem Jeffries, who received 209 votes. Mike Johnson was then sworn in as America’s 56th Speaker of the House of Representatives, the highest position of representation among 435 total congressional districts throughout the nation.
Exiting contemporary America’s darkest hour, the people are handed a victory at last; as our country begins its departure from the brink of disaster. A sensible man has finally been elected to facilitate the hemostasis of a declining nation; as Americans reel for representation in the prevention of the national government’s preliminary efforts to enact World War III. This congressional resolve occurred after experiencing a series of well-suited resignations beginning with Kevin McCarthy, who abdicated the seat of Speaker on October 3rd; leaving a deficit in the legislative branch. Since McCarthy’s exit, the fate of the House of Representatives; the legislative body responsible for America’s power of the purse; has remained moot. North Carolina Representative Patrick McHenry was elected to carry the torch as Speaker pro tempore, as the blind House fumbled to elect another head of Congress. The dying regime left in McCarthy’s wake forced a final act of desperation, thereby appointing Tom Emmer as Speaker of the House. Within one hour after the media declared deep state politician Tom Emmer as the victor for the new Speaker of the House; Emmer announced his rejection of the position.
Speaker pro tempore Patrick McHenry announced that “the total number of votes cast is 429 of which the honorable Mike Johnson of the state of Louisiana has recently received 220 votes,” as cheers and applause erupted throughout Congress, predominately occurring the Republican majority; some Democratic representatives sat motionless in distaste, lacking their necessary sportsmanship to gain popular appeal. Patrick McHenry continued, “and the honorable Hakeem Jeffries of the state of New York has received 209 votes,” similar cheers ensued from the Democratic side of the aisle, similar disgruntled Republicans rejected clapping to show the furthered support for their victor. Patrick McHenry concluded; “Therefore, the Honorable Mike Johnson of the state of Louisiana, having received a majority of the votes cast is duly elected Speaker of the House of Representatives for the 118th Congress,” (CSPAN). Cheers and applause filled the House of Representatives as Mike Johnson was confirmed as the victor.
Speaker Mike Johnson turned to face his fellow members of Congress, holding up his hands in prayer as he turned to humble himself simultaneously before his peers and God; as Kevin McCarthy loomed directly behind him with a ghastly grin, realizing the duties he had failed to fulfill. McCarthy must be given credit for recognizing his ineffective approach to policy and abdicating his position.
Minority Leader Hakeem Jefferies displaying strong sportsmanship, welcomed Representative Mike Johnson to the podium; he declared,
“[i]t is now my solemn honor and responsibility to hand over the people's gavel here in the United States House of Representatives to; a family man; a hard-working man; a Baptist man; a southern man; a son of a firefighter’s household; the gentleman from the great state of Louisiana, and the 56th speaker of the United States House of Representatives, the Honorable Mike Johnson,” (CSPAN).
“Thank you,” said Mike Johnson; the first words spoken, as Speaker Johnson received the people’s gavel, placing it next to him at the podium; giving precedence to his Bible which he laid before him. Johnson featured a distinct observable genuine appreciation and evident understanding for the position of authority he was to be sworn into. Politicians with an understanding of objective morality, and an inherent fear of God, and are far more likely to produce populist results in America’s contemporary polity.
Representative Mike Johnson stood before Congress, where he confirmed his preparedness to commence his metamorphosis; declaring, “I'm now ready to take the oath of office and I ask the Dean of the House of Representatives, the Honorable Harold Rogers of Kentucky, to please administer the oath of office,” (CSPAN).
Dean of the House, Kentucky Representative Hal Rogers administered the oath of office to Representative Mike Johnson; while being sworn in Representative Johnson kept his left hand firmly placed on his Bible, as he raised his right hand in the air to affirm the oath.
Dean Rogers commenced, “Mr. Speaker designee congratulations on your election;” “Thank you, sir,” Mike Johnson replied. Dean Rogers continued,
“When our Founding Fathers chose a bold, new and innovative new self-rule govern it was read by deep skepticism by the world's monarchs. They said self-rule is only a dream. Our founders said they're right. It's the American dream. Amen. Now it's it's our dream. We're in charge. The speakership of the United States House of Representatives is the crucial outpost for the well-being of the People's Government, the keeper, if you will, with a dream. Sir, if you wish to assume this awesome responsibility. Please raise your right hand. Do you solemnly swear that you will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic that you will bear true faith and allegiance to the same that you take this obligation freely? Without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion and that you will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office? On which you are about to enter? So help you God?”
Mike Johnson assented, confirming his affirmation; thereby proclaiming, “I do so help me God.”
Now, Mike Johnson, the man who had remained loyally by McCarthy’s side since January 7th, throughout the now-deposed-Speaker’s neglect of duties to the people and our nation. Johnson’s benefit is that he was able to gain first-hand knowledge of each error made by the previous Speaker McCarthy. In addition, Johnson has been actively working to represent the people since his first election in 2016 to an open seat in Louisiana; in 2022, Mike Johnson was re-elected without opposition, (Almanac of American Politics, Loc. 33891). Although Johnson was voted to represent Louisianians; he bears representation in the interests of populists, nationalists, libertarians, conservatives, and Christians across the nation.
As a contemporary testament of His authority, God anointed the Louisiana Representative Mike Johnson as the next Speaker of the House to save our nation; thereby invoking resurrection principles of His Kingdom back into American policy. Jesus decreed, “[i]f a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand,” (Mark 3:24; CSB), reminding us that division is an unnatural state; giving assurance that we will each personally know the proximity of the Lord’s Kingdom by the self-ruling prosperity it brings. Representative Mike Johnson’s affirmation to Speaker of the House is declarative to the excitement and divine hope found in the words of Jesus; that “[t]he time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” (Mark 1:15; CSB). The people’s fundamental power is built on belief, faith, and the perseverance of greatness. By all means, this is correlative of the gospel; contemporary America prevails as a land, whereby members of all denominations remain equally persecuted for their faith or lack thereof. His Holy Spirit states that all constituents no matter their partisanship must “Look beneath the surface so you can judge correctly,” (John 7:24; NLT). For “[n]ow to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen,” (Ephesians 3:20-21; NIV). God is at work before us, co-laboring with Americans to bring His Kingdom of resurrection to the body politic’s state of decay.
Conclusion
The bottom line, Americans require a thriving nation in order to self-rule and prosper; federal facilitation of persistent financial crises ensures the people cannot prosper without government intervention. October 25th, 2023 marked a turning point in American polity; rather than marinate in the weakened immunodeficiencies of the contemporary body politic, a new remedy has been implemented. The political pendulum has begun its oscillation back toward the interests and well-being of the people.
The Founders were Federalists alongside Anti-Federalists who sought to minimize government tyranny through legislated restraint to ensure limited governance; yielding maximum authority to the people by invoking a system of representation. Representation has faced routine attacks on the origin declaration of national independence, metastasizing into an authoritarian disease reliant on human manipulation to usurp power. The time has come for the disease to be eradicated as Speaker Mike Johnson is positioned to best represent the interest of all Americans, no matter their views on policy. American polis looks bright as the power of the purse and the future legislative interests of the nation are placed back into the hands of the people.
