Infowars Shutdown by Force
On November 14th, 2024, Alex Jones’s Infowars.com was forcibly shut down by the federal court and auctioned off to cover Jones’s legal fees of $1.5 Billion in damages for wrongly claiming the Sandy Hook shooting was staged. The result was the government’s taking of Alex Jones’s personal assets. As federal agents entered the building, Alex Jones posted to X early Thursday, “Last broadcast now live from Infowars studios. They are in the building. Are ordering shutdown without court approval,” (X). Jones later posted “Infowars Studios Have Been Shut Down,” (X). The auction left The Onion, a satirical news outlet, with the highest bid. The sale to The Onion includes all Infowars documentation, records, and customer information. Moreover, Alex’s equipment, domain names, and social media accounts have been taken. But Alex Jones’s X Account has been preserved by Elon Musk. But, as noted by the Associated Press, “the judge in Jones’ bankruptcy case said Thursday that he had concerns about how the auction was conducted and ordered a hearing for next week after complaints by lawyers for Jones and a company affiliated with Jones that put in a $3.5 million bid,” (AP). The federal judge thereby blocked the sale to the onion by auction.
This devastating attack by the courts will not bring an end to Alex Jones but more impact his fans. Infowars has been a platform of monumental inspiration to countless writers, researchers, journalists, and Americans for generations. Infowars fans have relied on his platform for breaking news in times of crisis; and Infowars’ line of supplements.
The Onion’s Bryce P. Tetraeder noted “[a]s for the vitamins and supplements, we are halting their sale immediately,” (TheOnion). Now the satire website plans to sabotage the popular platform, destroying Alex’s legacy and devastate Infowars fans, known as Infowarriors. Yet with the actions of the federal judge halting the sale due to concerns, time still remains for Infowars to remain on the air.
As of November 14th, 2024 Infowars.com and Banned.video read “Site unavailable until further notice.” But the voice Alex Jones will not be silenced. We are all Alex Jones. The system may be able to silence one platform but it cannot silence the entire body of its citizens united. Alex Jones did nothing wrong; free speech and freedom of the press is one of the founding principles of our nation. At the time of this writing Infowarsstore.com is still operational, but its longevity is unknown. The Associated Press added a light at the end of the tunnel for Infowars; that “[s]ealed bids for the private auction were opened Wednesday. The bankruptcy trustee named First United American Companies, which is affiliated with one of Jones’ product-selling sites, as the backup bid should the sale to The Onion fall through,”(AP). While The Onion has won the bid for Infowars, there still exists time for redemption. However, should efforts to regain Infowars be unsuccessful, Alex Jones and his message lives on through his new network, the Alex Jones Network. No matter what resolves from this egregious attack on free speech, Alex Jones has started an information revolution, that cannot be stopped. The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guarantees that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” Worse, Free Speech Systems and Infowars were forcibly deprived from Alex Jones. Under Section 1 of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, “No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” Alex Jones did not receive due process of law, yet was bound by the will of his opposition in a rigged show trial executed to deter others from seeking truth and speaking out. Just because Alex Jones had one mistake in the validity of his news interpretations, does not call for the removal of his inherent rights as a law abiding American citizen.
Scripture reminds us to remain resilient in our pursuit of justice and truth. Jesus decreed that “[n]o one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open, (Luke 8:16, 17; NIV). It is essential to “[t]herefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them,” (Luke 8:18; NIV). The truth will be revealed. Though man may be flawed and depraved, access to accurate information is given freely by God; the pursuit of attaining objective truth needn’t consider its own opposition.
Update: A federal judge blocked the sale of Infowars. Now, the site is back to its normal operations. Moreover, a new site has been launched with even more merchandise! https://thealexjonesstore.com/jmbk.news
