An Examination of New York State’s Republican Party
Though there have been five major realignment periods where political shifts have occurred in our American history, the New York Republican State Committee has remained steadfast in its beliefs and Biblical principles, despite our everchanging modern cultural landscape. Since its establishment in 1855, the New York Republican State Committee has functioned as an affiliate of the United States Republican Party (GOP) (Library of Congress, LOC). The New York Republican State Committee defines itself as “the party of taxpayers and commonsense,” and its operation as “a grassroots organization that starts from the ground up,” adding “and our local county committees are doing great things to help elect strong Republican leaders.” (nygop.org) Unlike New York’s predominantly liberal legislators, there exists a strong Republican Party alongside the Democratic Majority, often discredited in lieu of Progressive Public Policy.
New York’s Republican Platform
The New York Republican State Committee’s official platform states, “We believe in a limited government that is effective and efficient.” (nygop.org), aligning with the author’s interests as a strong supporter of individual sovereignty and facilitating free enterprise. Stating their views publicly on their website, the New York Republican State Committee vows to uphold “the rule of law and stand proudly for our flag and our brave men and women in uniform. We believe in creating more school choice and parent’s rights. We believe that through smart Republican policies of lower taxes and less onerous regulations, we can unleash New York’s economy and create prosperity for generations of New Yorkers.” As an American, the New York Republican State Committee fights for the same interests of modern Conservatives and the working class. As a result, they have remained popular despite recent consistent losses to important Congressional seats in the State’s office. New York’s GOP focuses on the local interests of the people, unlike its Democratic competition.
Conversely, New York State’s Democratic Party leads with “The New York Democratic Committee recognizes that racism is embedded within our society as a whole and our system of justice.” (nydems). Unlike the Republican Party, the New York Democratic Committee relies on bandwagon rejection, inciting hate, and deposing patriotism to maintain power. Still, the partisan battle wages on, with the NYDems utilizing districting to remain in power. As it is illegal to break up Congressional Districts of minorities, instead, they have packed minorities into districts and cracked up Republican voters, placing demagogue liberal minority candidates on the ballot to attract minority interests. This tactic has allowed New York City to become a terrarium for Gerrymanders since 1812. Today, the city’s districting officials have found a method to ensure the perverse Progressive Democratic policies and their ideologically depraved counterparts remain intrinsic to the historic city’s modern culture. (Library of Congress, LOC). However, in contrast, as a Conservative draw, the New York Republicans hold far more Biblical principles than New York’s anti-theist Democratic Party.
Biblical Principles. The Republican party holds most Biblical principles given to us in the Ten Commandments. In New York, the GOP is often LGBTQ+ friendly and neutral on the stance of abortion. While these positions are essential to their success until the 51 districts in New York are redistricted in 2030 following the next U.S. Census. One draw to the Republican Party of New York is the candidates' absolute belief in God. A statement from NYGOP Chairman Nick Langworthy in February 2021 read “Thank God for the judicial system because the other co-equal branch of government continues to abdicate their constitutional duties.” Biblically, the views of the Republican party, and Langworthy, can be compared to the Scripture of James in Chapter 4. In James 4:11-12 the Lord instructs us to hold Biblical laws above human ones, stating “Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?” The Bible continues to hold unparalleled significance today, displaying that while co-equal branches of government fail to uphold their Constitutional duties, they are superseded by populist policies enacted to guarantee re-election. Without God, there cannot be any political parties, and the entirety of our purpose has effectively been lost. The Republican Party’s choice to include God in their Platform, reveals not only political cues but that each politician understands that their own depravity is the cause of the conflict in culture and society. The Democrats, simply blame “racism,” omitting any remnant of personal accountability or Supernatural reference to our Fallen state.
Voting Records. The unanimously elected Chair of New York State’s Representative for the Republican party is Nick Langworthy. While no voting record is publicly displayed, Nick’s issue positions are shown (VoteSmart). Viewing the interest positions of Nick Langworthy, he stands aligned with the Party’s Platform. Langworthy remains a defender of life, standing against infanticide as a pro-life candidate. He also supports requiring government-issued ID’s at the polls, an idea deemed “racist” by U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris. (RealClearPolitics) In addition, Langworthy also supports the federal government taking actions beyond the unconstitutional Federal Reserve in order to alleviate inflation. To add further evidence to this position, New York State’s Republican Committee highlights that “President Donald J. Trump named Langworthy to the executive committee of his transition team.” (nygop.org)
A Message to Nick Langworthy
First, on behalf of all New Yorkers, Nick Langworthy should be thanked for his public representation of Conservative positions, against the secular Establishment. After initially praising his work, position of power, and resources, Langworthy can be discussed in a more critical manner. To begin this analysis, it's important to acclimate to our contemporary political battlefield. The New York State Republicans have historically stood for defending Conservative positions, however as New York’s western values begin to decay, and are deemed non-essential at the peoples’ and Churches’ expense, New York Republicans need to begin to go on the political offense. This means peacefully and publicly calling out the actions of elected officials by using large mainstream media platforms and state resources, and not just before reelection. The tables must be turned, pooling resources to encourage the Liberal Democratic voter to rethink their position in the fight between good and evil, and what party will best exist to sustain society for their families’ future generations. Often the public only gets to hear one side through the mainstream filter funded by anti-theists like Soros, Murdock, and BlackRock. This means gaining access to influence individuals to call out officials for their actions, and let the people know the exact negligent self-interested choices that Liberal legislators have made, against the very people who pay their salaries. The public needs to hear this drafted directly from the Republican party, and placed on the forefronts of every liberal outlet, social media channel, national and local television network, radio station, and plaster the message throughout subway stations. We, as Republicans must reveal every gerrymandering and election tactic that the leftists have used against us, inverting their own voters against them. While we should not submit to the populist views of public accommodation, we should stand to reveal evidence of deceit. The Chair of The New York States Republican Party Committee needs to be more outspoken about the funds being sent to the criminal government of Ukraine and other wastes that New York tyrant Eric Adams has thieved from the citizens of the State of New York. Lastly, Langworthy should disclose his official voting record and interest positions publicly on JustFacts-VoteSmart. We need to wake up New Yorkers, purifying their own media channels saturated with liberal hypnosis. We must remind the woke Progressive Globalist legislators what Joseph said in Genesis 50:20 (NIV)“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” It is the officious violations of the Lord’s order that inspires us to collectively depose the secular elites seeking to supplant public faith in God. This should be done not by Mosaic Law, but by committing to an honest representative democracy under the authority of God. As Republican voters, we must remind other Christians of ways each of us can personally contribute to society on an individual level, as opposed to only accepting higher taxes to hope for a change. The Republican Party of New York should devote less time to reinventing government policy, and more time to teaching citizens Christian methods of improving society on an individual level, abandoning government, instead of dividing each other and suggesting more government intervention to fund nefarious secular legislation. As a result, the public will vote for the candidate who provides them more freedom and less promise of government programs that neutralize their value as a result of artificial federal inflation during their enactment. By reducing the power and influence the government has over each citizen’s personal life, we can bring the authority of God back into our State and allow people to see that Christ works through us and Christians’ duty to care for the sick and poor, and provide jobs for the disabled. The only purpose of our government should be to allow and uphold His configuration of how society should function, not attempt to play god, labeling the remainder of New Yorkers as serfs forced to maintain the fallacious illusion of a secular transhumanist utopia.
Getting Involved at a Local Level. While Nick Langworthy stands as the Chairman of the New York Republican State Committee, there exists County Chairman which functions at a local level. In the case of Kings County, Brooklyn, the GOP representative Chairman Ted Ghorra. A first step to becoming involved with politics at a local level while supporting the candidate of choice, a great first step would be to volunteer for the NYGOP. According to their official website, the NYGOP states that citizen volunteers’ duties to include “speaking to neighbors, making phone calls, knocking on doors, distributing literature, and so much more.” While becoming a volunteer does not validate an official state-held position within New York’s Republican Party, it is the foundation of civil engagement. Ultimately, once becoming a volunteer for a Major-Party like the New York Republican State Committee, it is possible to be elected onto a local Committee. Going a step further would be contacting the local Chairman of the County. To further engage in politics at a local level, the author’s next step is emailing Chairman Ted Ghorra to request an in-person conversation by phone about how our government functions on a local level and better ways the public can become involved with grassroots lobbying.
Conclusion
While the New York State Republican Committee is far from revolutionizing the great state that New Yorker’s once knew, they are consistently working behind the scenes to improve the lives of all working residents, even liberals. While Democrats like Kathy Hochul parrot the current narrative on Twitter, calling for increasing the effects of affirmative action, stating “[a]s long as I’m governor, we will always stand up for our LGBTQ+ family — loudly and proudly,” In contrast, back in 2011 Senator Lee Zeldin released an official statement “Tonight, the New York State Senate voted 33 to 29 to legalize same sex marriage in New York. While my position opposing same sex marriage has never wavered, it has been a position that I have often thought about and reflected on.” Lee Zeldin added, “[i]t is my belief that marriage should be defined as between a man and a woman. As of tonight, in New York, that definition has changed. This legislation will have a profound impact on the lives of all New Yorkers.” (NYSentate) The New York Republican State Committee continues to defy the latest secular trending ideology and stands strong in its support for Scripture and the intended order explained to us by the Lord.
